Values – Loyalty

Loyalty is the commitment that individuals exhibit towards the goals within a company or academic institution. From an ethical perspective, the first loyalty would be in maintaining one’s own ethical principals while carrying forth the academic or corporate mission.
One shows loyalty if he or she:

  1. Demonstrates a commitment to others.
  2. Works in a collaborative and inclusive fashion.
  3. Builds shared vision and common goals.
  4. Effectively manages academic and corporate relationships.
  5. Achieves results he or she is committed to accomplish.
  6. Speaks respectfully of employees and employers and the institution.
  7. Maintains a positive attitude.
  8. Helps build morale.
  9. Shares vision with others.
  10. Treats others with respect.
  11. Can be trusted for honest feedback.
  12. Creates a climate of trust.
  13. Respects the bottom line.
  14. Generates a system to reward those who excel.
  15. Seeks input regarding ways to build loyalty.
  16. Is careful  of and respectful of boundries paraticularly with respect to students and employees.
