Think of what happened during Prohibition and then think about back alley coat hanger abortions. Both episodes in our history resulted in people dying. By naming a woman to the Supreme Court who is anti-abortion, the hypocritical Trump is stirring up controversy.
He knows that ending Roe v Wade will mean a return to a time of illness and death for women. But he doesn’t much care about deaths. Trump’s handling of this pandemic in our country revealed to us a man who is capable of genocide — 200,000 deaths and counting.
Why a new controversy? His choice of a lackluster Catholic judge is a way to deflect from his incompetence in handling COVID-19. He’ll respond to tragedies as a result of abortion restrictions in his usual callous way. Trump on Covid death toll: ‘It is what it is’ – CNNPolitics. Then, the leader with no conscience, added,”I take no responsibility whatsoever.”
If you question him about what will happen to women if there is no Roe v. Wade, we can almost hear him say: “If women die, they die. It is what it is.”
Back to Amy Coney Barrett — Trump’s pick to replace the brilliant Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She has not only stated that she opposes abortion and the Affordable Care Act, but is a clear gun rights advocate. But even worse, she gave speeches paid by a group that is on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of “Hate Groups.”
From Al Franken: #AmyConeyBarrett took $ from virulently anti-LGBT hate group. See my 2017 questioning.
Senator Al Franken (D-MN) asks Donald Trump’s judicial nominee to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals about her taking money from the Alliance Defending Freedom. This group is opposed to homosexuality and rights of transgender people. https://youtu.be/B0C620T8knU
The more we concern ourselves with a Supreme Court pick, the more Trump can hide from his incompetence over this pandemic. But we must question and we must be concerned. We cannot fall into the black hole of dictatorship.
