Anxiety is at an all-time high in this red and blue nation. Finding moments of calm, during such a turbulent time, can be daunting. However, seeking serenity is a way to both detach from turmoil and engage in positive thoughts and activities.
Here are seven thoughts on ways to achieve serenity.
- Start a gratitude journal.
- Embrace solitude even if just for an hour a day.
- Practice creative visualization.
- Distance yourself from negativity.
- Before bed, read a good book or watch a pleasant movie.
- Avoid the nightly news.
- Stay away from toxic personalities.
