Every once in a while a book comes along that is brimming with love ideas. Project: Happily Ever After: saving your marriage when the fairytale falters by Alisa Bowman is one such book. Please watch for my interview with her.
But first have a look at an idea that is absolutely brilliant. In one of my columns for the Providence Journal I talk about a young man who gave his wife a car manual in an attempt to fix their hidden agenda problems. Sexual shutout in hidden agenda hell (Sept 2007)
In Step 6 of her book: Learn how to Romance Each Other, Alisa says:
Keep dating. Keep touching. Keep hugging. Keep saying, “I love you” in words and actions.
Then she suggests writing a Romance Instruction Manual. It is a terrific idea. Men have a difficult time mind-reading and interpreting our wishes. A Romance Manual, like a car manual, can become your love guide. Give it a try.
Happy loving.
