Love Daily: Loving, giving, and gratitude, Oct.30, 2010

Posted on October 30, 2010 by Rita Watson
Love is imtimately entwined with giving and with gratitude.  It was through Twitterville that I was reminded of two of my favorite quotes, one about loving yourself from Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s “Gift from the Sea” and the another from Dr. Leo Buscaglia, author of “Love.” He talks about giving love away.
Both of these, in my world, add up to gratitude.  Loving yourself is an expression of gratitude for who you are.  Giving love away is an expression of gratitude and assurance that you are blessed with love to give.

“When we start at the center of ourselves, we discover something worthwhile extending toward the periphery of the circle, we find some of the joy in the now, some of the peace in the here, and some of the love in me and thee which go to make up the kingdom of heaven on earth.”  Anne Morrow Lindberg*

With that quote in mind, this is from the book called LOVE,  The World of Leo Buscaglia

“What love we’ve given, we’ll have forever. What love we fail to give, will be lost for all eternity.”

Thank you for this reminder quote on gratitude LisaKiftTherapy Lisa Brookes Kift

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of all virtues; it is the parent of all others.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero #gratitude

Love is not always about walking on air.  Yet it is always about a certain peace of mind.
