Shaping serenity is like shaping sand castles at the beach. In thinking about how to build serenity into your life, you might try different ideas. Play with them until they take shape. But keep in mind that the ultimate goal is love.
For example, setting aside time each morning before sunrise. Or before bedtime. Or perhaps taking a 10 minute walk to relax at mid-day.
It is best to find a place within your home or office, however, where you are free of distraction. Perhaps a chair by a window so you might reflect on your thoughts. You want to be able to focus on centering.
The goal is to find a way to focus on love in its purest and most peaceful form, unconditional love. In his book “Around the Year with Emmet Fox” he says this about the way of love.
“I have counted the cost; and I am resolved to attain the Goal by the path of Love. . . . My own heart is to be my workshop, my laboratory, my great enterprise, and love is to be my contribution to humanity.” (p.365)
