The bride is the daughter of the Secretary of State and a former President. The day was glorious and the couple were glowing.

On International Friendship Day, Chelsea Clinton married her longtime boyfriend, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, at the Astor family palace in Rhinebeck, N.Y.The Mother of the Bride went glamorous for the rehearsal dinner and looked stunning next to Dad, whom daughter, Chelsea had put on a diet for her glorious day.

According to US Magazine, “Around 400-500 people attended. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former Clinton adviser Vernon Jordan, entrepreneur Steve Bing and actor Ted Danson and wife Mary Steenburgen were all expected. The Old Spice Guy has become a national sensation. We all love the man with diamonds in his hands. Here is a thought.

If he can propose on Twitter for a fan and revitalize a somewhat tired “Old Spice” what can he do to promote safe sex?

Despite what we know about safe sex — one in every two sexually active young person will have developed some form of STD by the time they are age 25. And MTV kicked off an impressive campaign this year. MTV Fights STDs

Now there is more disturbing news — the over 50s are seeing rates soar.

A recent BBC report says, “The over 50s infection rate in England, Wales and Northern Ireland more than doubled in under a decade – from 299 new cases in 2000 to 710 in 2007.

“Experts say the figures are a stark reminder of the importance of practicing safe sex, whatever your age.” BBC News – HIV rate rises among over-50s

The Unites States, Love, sex, and matters of the heart

One reason for an increase in HIV is education and the misperception “It can’t happen to me. Condoms are for kids.”

Another reason is “later daters.” With so many divorces, more men on Viagra, and people looking for love, sometimes people just get careless.

The Ladies on MSNBC tried to play matchmaker, but the Old Spice Guy said he was already taken. And we are taken in by him.

The love and romance image sensation is now off to Tinseltown to play alongside Jennifer Aniston.

As the report goes: “Isaiah Mustafa smells like a man — and soon, Jennifer Aniston will be getting a big whiff of the budding star.

“Mustafa — aka TV’s Old Spice Guy — has been tapped to join the cast of the film “Horrible Bosses,” starring Aniston, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Jason Sudeikis and Jason Bateman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Trump trashes addicted Rachel Uchitel; does she have mistress remorse?

The ex-mistress with a love addiction was not feeling any love today from Donald Trump. As she walked into rehab, she hid her face behind a baseball cap. Tiger’s ex-mistress Rachel Uchitel takes cover as she heads into rehab

And while it was thought she jumped ship from Celebrity Apprentice, it seems that maybe it was just wishful thinking on her part that she could join.

This from US Magazine, “It’s a good thing Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel landed a spot on VH1’s “Celeb Rehab.”

“Donald Trump says she wouldn’t have been a good fit for his NBC reality show “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“She called; she wanted to be on the show … but we just don’t see her as a celebrity in any sense,” he told UsMagazine.com” Trump says Rachel Uchitel is no celebrity

Regarding her addiction to love, pills or alcohol, take your pick. It could well be a combination of all three leading to mistress remorse.

Yes, this is about relationships and I will explain why. But first, with all due respect to Talbot’s marketing and conversational site, forgive me, I can’t resist.

I still remember the afternoon I went to a mall and found myself in Talbot’s. My sister Lois called and when I told her that I was shopping, she shrieked in disbelief. ( I’m a basic order from the Internet gal.)

Then when I told her where I was shopping, she said, “Get out of there right now. Don’t even look at anything. If you have something in your hand, put it down. You have not been a size 4 since you were born. Even if Talbot’s goes up to a 10, you will look like you’re in denial.”

So when I saw the news a while ago, I thought to myself, if I connected on what is being dubbed “Innovative Social Commerce Offering Helps Leading Retailer Bring the Social Side of Fashion to the Shopping Experience on Talbots.com” maybe I could explain my plight. Read more

I have long been a proponent of forgiveness after infidelity and have numerous articles reminding couples that there is life after infidelity.

When Gibson’s wife Robyn came forward and offered to support her ex-husband in court it proved two things:

The power of forgiveness
The dignity of truth

The couple has had continued contact despite infidelity

If the new gossip regarding reuniting is true, then it will be a relief to his family and friends. Mel Gibson’s kids are on his side in case against Oksana Grigorieva

It is widely reported that the couple remained in contact and continued working together to raise their children. As such, Robyn coming forward to protect Gibson’s name was in many ways also protecting family: Is Mel Gibson Ready to Flee US With Ex-Wife Robyn?

Marriages can be saved after infidelity

In the complicated world of love and relationships, it is sad that marriage is becoming so entwined with infidelity — but only in the press. Despite the media hype of Internet infidelity experts, too many to count, infidelity is not an epidemic. And there are professional voices that stand out: Michele Weiner-Davis and the experts reporting from MayoClinic and WebMD.

It has been a chaotic week of love and interesting turns on infidelity: the John Edwards love affair is moving to the big screen. Mel Gibson is doing battle with his ex-mistress, but moving towards vindication with loving testimony from his ex-wife. And Tiger Woods is battling the ill winds at the British Open and leaving his lawyers to fight a DNA demand from former mistress to settle a paternity issue.

Each of these men has betrayed the love from their wives. Yet two women stand out with dignity, Robyn Gibson and Elizabeth Edwards. Here is a news wrap-up. (Within each link there are links to my articles where you will find links other news outlets should you wish to read the original stories.)

Mel Gibson: is he or isn’t he melting down?

Thanks to the love and dignity of his ex-wife of nearly 30 years, Mel Gibson is looking less and less like a man prone to domestic violence and one who is able to visit with his baby daughter. The credibility of his ex-mistress is becoming more and more dubious.

Tiger Woods struggling to keep his DNA

Many of us have serious doubts about what motivates former Tiger Woods mistress Devon James, whose own mother calls her a pathological liar.
