If you are one of those romantics looking for an old fashion romantic comedy without twists, turns, plots and subplots, this is a movie that is simply able love.

Here is another bonus: no texting love notes to each other through most of the movie. This is simply loving spinning out and reeling in two hearts with a passion for “Top Gun”

Owen Gleiberman at EW.com: “Going the Distance” is a light and tasty morsel of a romantic comedy in which two smart, funny, and basically sweet people try to conduct a cross-country relationship.

“The movie, which sounds like it was spun out of an advice column, is very high-concept, except that it has a gently authentic tone, a flavor rooted in its affection for the shrewd innocence of the 1980s. For the first 15 minutes or so, I actually wondered if it was set in the ’80s. . . .

We knew it wouldn’t be long before Tiger Woods found himself with a woman who was mature and understanding. And according to ShowBiz spy, it has already happened. It seems that he is spending his time with a former NYC ad executive, in her mid-fifties divorced from a Texas financier.

“They’re a great couple, I’ve never seen Tiger so in love,” a source said.

As a woman who was involved in the sports world — working as a nanny for golfer Jesper Parnevik for almost 4 years before her marriage to Tiger Woods – how is it that Elin Nordegren was so unaware about infidelity and the game?

Is a wife always the last to know or the last to admit that it could happen to her?

Lemondrop asked the pointed question just last year:

“When former NFL star Steve McNair was shot to death by his 20-year-old mistress, his wife and mother of his four children claimed she knew nothing about his infidelity. But after reading The Secret Code of Sports Mistresses, which quotes a CNN statistic that 80 to 90 percent of pro athletes cheat, we wonder if any woman could be totally ignorant of the possibility.”

One of the stories that was most upsetting to women about Tiger Woods came from his mistresses. They claimed that he did not use condoms when they were intimate.

In this day and age of HIV/AIDS, this was infuriating to many because it was thought that he risked giving his then wife Elin Nordegren a sexually transmitted disease. Could that have been a ploy by mistresses to anger both Tiger Woods and his wife? Or was it true? And if so, what about this story that just surfaced from award winning investigative journalist Ian Halperin?

In the news we are still seeing completely speculative reports based on leaks regarding who gets what. But the more important question is this — why do we care?

First: who gets what?

As I stated yesterday, until court papers are filed we simply do not know the truth. Despite the speculation about the Florida homes, some of us are wondering about the other homes in 4 states.

Divorce is a tricky business and anything can happen in the final deal. Keep in mind that with Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, there is a prenuptial agreement as well.

The bigger question is this: WHY DO WE CARE?

The truth — until court papers are filed and an official document is released, who gets what in the final divorce package is sheer speculation. We keep hearing about the property in Florida. What about the other properties he reportedly owns? According to some real estate publications, Tiger Woods owns homes in four states and one in Sweden. Photos at link at end.

This is what is being factored in:

* The prenuptial agreement

* Division of property

* A possible lump sum to Elin

* Child support for the children

What is at stake?

The children: For Tiger Woods, what he cares most about are his children. Chances are he will enjoy joint custody in some form in which he and Elin must make decisions about the children together.

The reaction to the gossip about Tiger Woods marrying Rachel Uchitel is quite unbelievable.

While many of us are reporting “no wedding” between Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel, the National Enquirer is out and the wedding story is in — the one refuted by both GossipCop and TMZ.

In the story of the supposed tiff between Rachel and the Tiger regarding her going to Celebrity Rehab, they also report that Tiger has told Elin of his love for Rachel and Elin is not happy.
